Around the late 1980s, Paige Peyton wrote a MA thesis on the excavation
of a late 19th-century schoolhouse in San Bernardino, CA (I believe it
was the Fairview School).  It was a thesis in Anthropology at California
State University at San Bernardino.  Do not have the title or date.  It
was entered into NADB, so if you can access NADB (their Web site query
does not seem to be working), you should be able to locate it.
