You might also try the FBI museum up in Washington. There are historians
up there that do nothing but collect info on law enforcement equipment
etc. If you have trouble making contact, let me know. I'm a law
enforcement officer myself and might be able to get the info. Also,
several years ago I went to the Texas Ranger museum in Waco, there was
plenty on historical implements etc. You might also try there. Good
luck.
