EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Kittatinny Archaeological Research, Inc., a cultural resource consulting
firm based in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania has an opening for a Project
Archaeologist. Employment would begin in July and run for a minimum of three
months, and could become permanent. Work will involve Phase I and Phase II
projects across Pennsylvania for various state agencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direction of field work, analysis, and report preparation under the
supervision of the Principal Investigator. May work at home when not in the
field.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a Master's degree in anthropology/archaeology or closely related
field and one year's supervisory experience. Experience in both prehistoric
and historic archaeology preferred. Computer skills (word processing
[WordPerfect or MS Word], spreadsheet [Excel], and database management
[Paradox or equivalent]) essential. Must submit writing samples.
PAY:
Minimum starting rate $14.00/hour. Mileage, lodging, and meals are
reimbursed while in the field.
