>I would like to hear from someone who has stored comb and protected

Tim
Tim, I regularly keep brood comb free from wax moths by leaving it outside,
uncovered, so that light can freely get into the top. I ve never had a
problem with wax moths and have stored deeps with brood comb up to four high
in this manner. Rain and thunderstorms don t harm the combs.
However, I only do this during spring, summer and fall. If I want to keep
the combs over winter I treat, as has been described, with para crystals and
protect from mice. I only put the crystals on once, when I bring the combs
in, in the fall. In the spring I get the combs outside soon enough (May in
this climate in upstate NY) so that moths don t become a problem.
