At the Bloomsbury site in Delaware, we found several pieces of bottle glass
that appear to have been reworked to make cutting or chopping tools.
Reports from elsewhere, including Australia, indicate that glass has been
adopted as a raw material when it has been introduced into populations with
stoneworking traditions.
The Bloomsbury site was occupied by Native American people around 1800, two
centuries after initial contact with Europeans.
