William Beaumont's Formative Years published in 1946 by Henry
Schuman contains excerpts from his notebooks. These notebooks and most
of Beaumont's materials are at Washington Univ. School of Medicine, St.
Louis, MO He was a surgeon who treated the military.
Malaria in Michigan by David C. Nutter, a dissertation from MSU
1988.
Doctors Under Three Flags by Fannie Anderson. Pub. Wayne State Univ.
Press. 1951. One excellent feature of this book is the bibliography
at the end.
