Brian,
The company I work for, Sagebrush Consultants, recently finished a BRAC
Assesment report on the Defense Distribution Depot Ogden in Ogden, Utah.
During our research we learned that the Depot held both German and Italian
POW,s. Unfortunately the area of the base in which they were held was
partitioned and developed. We did find evidence of their occupation in
inscriptions left on culverts they constructed during their time at the base.
We did'nt find any evidence of Japanese POW's on the base. Maybe if there
is a need for more work on the base or in the POW area(doubtful) we might
find some interesting data as to what cultural items survive in POW
conditions. I do have access to plans of the housing facilities for the
POW's. I hope this helped,
Tim King
