Don't know if this kind of document is what you are looking for, but be
advised that the Western Archeological and Conservation Center, NPS (Tucson:
1996), has issued a massive 3-volume study called "Three Farewells to
Manzanar." Partly archaeology, but includes much historical data, life in
the camps, etc.
As for anthropologists employed by the govenment during WW II, Georges
Devereux was sent to the South Pacific because of his knowledge of the area.
Last I knew, he was at Tulane.
