I am on the newly constituted Historical Archaeology Data Standards Working Group for the Heritage Office of NSW (Australia). The group I am working with is revising and developing standards for site recording. We see this as involving:

Recording of sites during surveys.

Recording of sites for archive and management purposes.

What I am looking for are already exisiting standards that cover these two areas so we can borrow everyone's good ideas.

Can anyone on Histarch point me in the right direction (I imagine that there may be standards on the Web somewhere) or send us copies.

Your contributions to the on-going managment of NSW's Heritage will be acknowladged.

Thanks
