Publicize your programs in the
1998 ARCHAEOLOGICAL FIELDWORK OPPORTUNITIES BULLETIN

The Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) invites you to participate in
the preparation of the 1998 Archaeological Fieldwork Opportunities Bulletin
(AFOB). The AFOB lists excavations and surveys with openings for
volunteers and staff, as well as educational programs including field
schools, study tours, and museum internships. It is available to the
public on the first of January each year.

To be included in the 1998 AFOB, please fill out the attached form and
return it by no later than October 15, 1997. Submission by mail or fax of
previously prepared materials, such as flyers or brochures, is acceptable.
If all your details are not fully finalized by the deadline, your program
may still be included with a notation of whom to contact for more
information.

If you are not involved in a project, please pass this information on to
another who may be interested in submitting an entry, or let us know whom
to contact. Your assistance is appreciated.

We hope you will contribute to our publication. This is a unique
opportunity to publicize your program and to recruit volunteers, students,
and staff. We look forward to hearing from you.

If you have any questions, please contact Susanna Burns at (617) 353-8708,
