The Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI) will be holding a four day
workshop on the conservation of wet archaeological materials, November 2-5,
1998. The workshop will focus on the research, analysis and treatment of
wet organic materials, iron, and iron composties and combines
presentations, hands-on experience, lab tours and demonstrations.
Instructors will be scientists and conservators from CCI and the Canadian
Parks Agency. The workshop will be held in Ottawa in order to take
advantage of the lab facilities at CCI and Parks.
The fee is $500.00 Cdn, and the registration deadline is October 2, 1998.
