One reference that might be of interest to the student investigating the
Archaeology of Crime is:
Anne A. Fox
1984 A Study of Five Historic Cemeteries at Choke Canyon Reservoir, Live
Oak and McMullen Counties, Texas. Choke Canyon Series, Volume 9. Center
for Archaeological Research, The University of Texas at San Antonio.
This small report includes the archaeological analysis and consideration of
the excavated remains and funerary items of two men, William B. Morris
(1802-1869) and Martin Luther Taylor (1842-1869), who reportedly were
killed as part of the Taylor-Sutton Feud in southern Texas. [see
Morris/Taylor Burials (41 MC 6), pages 9-14.] Their grave site was
located in McMullen County, Texas.
