While I agree from label warnings that Apistan is potentially
(almost certainly?)dangerous, I would add that mineral oil is not
 
harmless either.  In fact, "food grade" is a large misnomer.
Mineral oil is no longer prescribed as an aid to regularity(or
even
for acute bowel disorders) because it is largely indigestible
and, worse,
leaches the oil-soluble vitamins from those who ingest it.
