I have heard that riding horses, and keeping bees don't go well together.
The idea is that if the animal your riding were to get stung it might cause a dangerous incident. I don't know what percent of horses might be allergic to bee stings. It stands to reason that under normal circumstances that the horse will learn to respect the bees and keep a safe distance from the hive(s). Cattle will knock over bee hives by rubbing against them. I imagine horses might do the same. I have always kept a good fence between my bees and the cattle. It's always best to error on the side of safety. Good luck!
