No importations to New Zealand of bees or genetic material have taken
place in some years now, though there are protocols in place to
allow for genetic material importation (specific to Germany in the

Interesting to hear that bees are being taken into Hawaii. I
thought I heard they were keen to keep bees (and mites) away from
there. ;-)
