Stan,
I sometimes use blowers and usually use excluders so I don't have the
problem of lost queens but: one technique would be to use a stand in
front of your hive that directs the "blown" bees to land on or near the
landing board.  This also minimizes the number of bees in the air.  A
stand looks sort of like a tv tray with a piece of sheet metal going
down one of the pairs of legs.
 
Another thing to consider is whether one ought to be pulling honey so
close to brood anyway.
