Curtis,
I too used to use gloves and now have graduate to no gloves except on mean
hives.
However, propolis on the fingers becomes a problem that needs to be cleaned
off with isopropyl alcohol. Carry around a small amount in a glass vial
with your bee equipment to clean off your hands.
OR try something as others have suggested = surgical gloves. Keeps the
dexterity, no sting odors, easy to slip in and off and helpful for handling
Apistan strips.
