     Good morning folks-

Issue 21 (Spring 1998) of African-American Archaeology went into the
mail today. This issue features Larry McKee's thought-provoking essay
on the overall state of African-American archaeology, which he
delivered at the SHA meeting in Atlanta.

I anticipate two additional issues this year, if material keeps coming
in, making A-A A a quarterly publication for the first time. New
features and additional editorial staff are in the works for
     announcement in the Fall issue.

In accordance with the warning published in Issue 20 (Late Winter
1998), a number of people were dropped from the mailing list for
     non-payment of subscription fees.

Subscribers who do not receive their copy in the next week, or so, and
former subscribers wishing to "re-up" should contact me so that any
problems can be resolved. (New subscribers are welcome as well!!).

     John
