Following is a job announcement from Historic Annapolis Foundation in
Annapolis, Maryland.
 
        STAFF ARCHAEOLOGIST
 
        Historic Annapolis Foundation is seeking an archaeologist to
direct its laboratories and to supervise collections for the Archaeology
in Annapolis program, a joint project of Historic Annapolis Foundaton
and the University of Maryland- College Park Department of Anthropology.
Responsibilities will include supervising two laboratories, one in
Annapolis, and one in College Park, training and directing volunteers in
cataloging historic artifacts, managing the project database, producing
site reports. The work week is divided between the two labs. In addition,
the position responsibilities include collections management, preparation
for summer field school, involvement with contract excavations, management
of undergraduate and graduate student personnel, and administration of the
project budget.
        Position requires an historical archaeologist, with knowledge
of historic ceramics, and a Master's degree, or equivalent experience.
The position is available September 15, 1995.
