Andy:  I'm a new bee keeper also.  Started last May (1991) with
just one hive.  I lean heavily on a bee keeping paper back book
that I got from Walter Kelly Co. in Kentucky.  (I am writing this at
work and I'm sorry, I can't remember the exact title - if it's
important, let me know and I'll find out and drop you another
line).  If you can, get a copy (better yet, a subscription :-)  )
of the magazines, "American Bee Journal" and "Gleenings in Bee
Culture".  Both have lots of useful tips as well as advertisments
and mailing addresses for supplies, etc.  Good luck - keep in
touch.
