For those of you who may have seen a clip on this...the Oregon father who
was charged with shaking his 6 week old baby to death pleaded guilty and
stated that he "was sorry." The sad thing about this case (beyond the
death) is that the media in Oregon have failed to pick up this case as an
opportunity to educate the public about shaken baby syndrome (and even
further failed about bf and prolactin). I routinely encounter parents and
would-be parents (in undergrad courses) who have no idea that this is a
problem. At our meeting last night, we discussed the ABCD...Zs of bf
advantages and P came up as "Prolactin Patience." Now, if we could get the
dads a good dose of prolactin...
