The cooper's asked about beginning in Bees
 
There are 2 books put out by respective departments of agriculture in
Tasmania and Victoria.
 
The titles are surprise surprise
Bee keeping in Tasmania
and
Bee keeping in Victoria.
 
You might  try the South Australian DPI as well
