When I had a similar situation here's what I did and it worked fairly well.
I put the hive on a hand truck and took it about 100 ft away under a tree.
I put an empty hive or box at the original site. After about an hour I went
through
the hive and removed the queen. It was on the third pass through all the
frames that I finally found her. Then the hive was put back in it's
original
location and a new queen introduced.
Not a single sting! But I wore a lot of duct tape!
