Attie: I was the one who talked about women suing for unnecessary
premature weaning, but if you read my post carefully, you will see that I
was merely saying that this idea can be suggested to a doctor who uses a
concern about being sued as an excuse for not prescribing a medication to
a breastfeeding mother (i.e. someone who is so litigation-conscious would
probably only be swayed by an argument which also involves litigation).
As for "documentation" of my statement, look in the archives. There have
been posts about such pending lawsuits. I don't know anything
about the current status of the lawsuits. Although our legal expert, Liz
Baldwin, may not be involved in this particular type of lawsuit, she may
