Senior Archaeologist / Principal Investigator
PAL, an independent, non-profit cultural resource management and historic
preservation planning consulting firm, seeks a highly skilled and
experienced Senior Archaeologist to join its senior management team.
The Senior Archaeologist reports to the President and works with a team of
senior staff on a variety of projects. Qualified applicants will have a
graduate degree in archaeology or anthropology, and at least 5 years of
experience in the field of cultural resources management.
Successful applicants will have:
- a solid understanding of Federal laws, especially Sections 106 and
110, as they pertain to archaeology and cultural resources
management;
- an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- experience in the preparation of project proposals and
qualifications packages;
- superior verbal and written communication skills, and strong
computer literacy;
- an established track record of successful research in the
archaeology of the northeastern United States; and
- strong analytical skills.
