Greetings all! At the last SHA conference and since, several of you have asked
me about the availability of Vol. 2 of Beads: Journal of the Society of Bead
Researchers. This is the issue which contains Lester Ross' report on the Beads
of Fort Vancouver, WA (1819-1860) which is illustrated with several full-page
color plates of the recovered varieties. This issue is out-of-print but I have
just been informed that Alice Scherer of the now-defunct Center for the Study of
Beadwork has two issues remaining which she is willing to sell for the regular
