Dan,
In Australia at least two Universities are teaching Historical Archaeology
to undergraduates on a regular basis - La Trobe University in Melbourne,
Victoria (Dr Susan Lawrence) and here at Flinders University. Also at least
two Universities are teaching Maritime (Underwater) Archaeology to
undergraduates - James Cook University in Townsville, Queensland (Prof John
Campbell & Dr Peter Veth) and here at Flinders University. There are others
(Sydney, ANU and UNE) but I am not sure how regular (and secure) their
basis is at the moment.
Generally I think both Historical and Maritime Archaeology are becoming
more regular topics within Archaeology undergraduate degrees in Australia
and likely to become even more so in the next few years.
Regards
Mark
