Hi folks!  It appears that there are a number of advantages and disadvantages
to having the SHA conference during the first week of January, all of which
are too numerous to list here.  Keeping in mind the great benefits of lower
rates juxtaposed with the money lost by people (more than a few) who get
stranded after these conferences, is it possible to find another "dead" time
during which we might meet?  I realize that January is the slowest period for
conferences, but people who get stranded and wind up missing work and being
out on more hotels aren't really saving in the long run.  How about March?
