Speaking of Historical Archaeology...
Noticing your signature line that you are at the Center for Spanish Colonial
Archaeology.  I've been trying to find if there has ever been any
archaeological research conducted on the Aguayo expedition into East Texas in
1721.  I have a copy of Pena's diary (translated by Santos) and understand that
Santos may have done some type of work.  But I understand that he is also not
an archaeologist.  I would appreciate it dearly if you know of any research in
establishing the actual route of this expedition or even if this would be a
feasible study...
