No, it's not an insult or dirty word!
 
I am looking for historical sources on wool pulling (fellmongering), =
especially from the UK and Germany.  Also, any archaeological reports on =
fellmongering sites, especially those with evidence of sheepskin tanning =
(not just pickling).
