thank you for replying. The second half of one letter which I
could not get, due to encoding, was from the letter in which you were
replying to Ned Heites' reply and observations. Your first half of
your letter started thusly;
In a reply to my post about the pitfalls of relying on abundant and
seemingly accurate historical cartographic and documentary data, Ned
Heite restated a significant observation: we need to use experts in
local history -- not just Mrs. Smith down at the historical society
or Farmer Bubba the point collector.........
It is the second half of your letter which you transmitted in a
different format which my computer can't decode, which you
transmitted thusly;
