<< hived a swarm about 3 weeks ago and put in an Apistan strip to kill of
the adult mites and give the swarm a chance to survive.

Today I noticed that there were a bunch of white corn kernals at the
 entrance, almost like mummified larvae.

Inspection inside showed a nice pattern of brood with a few white kernals
 inside some cells.

IF I read this right... this is a sign of "Chalkbrood".

Is there such a thing as brood being affected by an overdose of Apistan?

If you hived that swarm on old used comb those white pellits are probably
just moldy pollen from the bees that used to be in the hive and the bees are
just doing some necessary house cleaning.....
