Electronic Resources/Website Editor Needed

The Society for Historical Archaeology is looking for a volunteer to be
Electronic Resources/Website Associate Editor. This associate editor is
responsible for the continued design and maintenance (including formatting
of materials and conversion of files to hypertext for posting to the
server) of the society website <http://www.sha org>. The society prefers a
volunteer who would be willing to assume the position for a several year
period of time so that continuity of site development can be maintained. It
is the desire of the SHA board of directors to not only continue posting
material to the website as has been done during the past couple years but
to also expand the site as society long range plan goals evolve. Therefore
the person selected for the position would have an opportunity to offer
creative ideas for website expansion and be able to implement those ideas.
This likely translates into spending 10-15 hours per month on website
monitoring, maintenance, and development.

Volunteering for this position will provide you with an opportunity to not
only serve the society and your profession but learn about the society and
how it functions, affect the way society and historical archaeology
information generally is disseminated, and participate with the SHA editor
and learn about the society editorial process. This is a high profile
position, and it's your opportunity to make a difference in historical
archaeology.

The society desires to fill the position as soon as possible.

Persons interested in applying should contact the SHA editor (address
below), providing him with appropriate materials supporting your
qualifications and interest in the position.
