It might interest some readers to know that a similar workshop on improving
professional training in graduate programs was held at Michigan State
University last year. Marlesa Gray published a brief summary of the event
in the Spring SHA Newsletter (vol 30, no 1, pp 14-15). You might also
still be able to obtain copies of "Report of Outcomes from the Michigan
State University Archaeological Partnership Conference: Business,
Government, and Academia, October 28-30, 1996," authored by Cleland,
Goldstein, and Lovis. Send inquiries to the Department of Anthropology,
Baker Hall, Michigan State University, E. Lansing, MI 48224-1118.
