There was mention of the importance of emptying the udder of the cow or goat
and there has been mention of emptying the breast of the woman. I have a
question: Do we have two udders? Does it matter?
Long ago a woman was ordered to empty both breasts, with pump if necessary.
What about only one breast at a feed, two breasts partially emptied, one
breast "emptyied" while the second is just lightly tapped, over-supply,
under-supply, etc.?
Someone mentioned recently that in less clock-oriented societies a new
mother just feeds her baby whichever breast is most available, with little
notice of which side or how long or how often. Then there was a post about
some women feeding VERY frequently for a very short time throughout the day.
Are we humans too different from each other to come to common recommendation?
