anyone have a simple and/or fool/idiot-proof system of soil descriptions which
doesn't involve comparison to known samples? just asked a pedologist about the
system out of Museum of London (handy flow-chart formula [which you can use in
the field, which is really what i'm on about: the triangle is just too
abstract], where you just have to roll balls or rolls or listen for scrunchy
sand between your fingers) and he says it just don't make sense -
