"Coke honey" forces one to draw some disturbing conclusions. It sounds
like honey produced by bees foraging in urban areas is hardly wholesome
and is likely to be chemically contaminated, The possibility of harmful
bacteria picked up anywhere by foraging bees attracted to wastes was
mentioned only to be dropped.
Since BEE-L was originally made up of researchers, I'm wondering if
anyone has put any pernicious bacteria samples on a petri dish with
honey as the medium and checked for growth. Honey is supposed to be
antibacterial, but considering where bees go, it would be better to
check.
