Here are some good books with drawings of animal bones:
Cohen, Alan, and Dale Serjeantson
1996 A Manual for the Identification of Bird Bones from Archaeological
Sites. Revised edition. London: Archetype.
Hillson, Simon
1986 Teeth. Cambridge: University of Cambridge Press.
1992 Mammal Bones and Teeth: An Introductory Guide to Methods of
Identification. London: Institute of Archaeology, University College.
Schmid, E.
1972 Atlas of Animal Bones. London: Elsevier.
Also look for a copy of Sisson and Grossman's Anatomy of the Domestic
Animals (approximate title - there have been a lot of different editions of
it).

>Can anyone suggest good comparative bone reference books (good pictures -
>photos or drawings, plus descriptions) for domestic animals? I'm looking,
>in particular, for cat, dog, cow, goat, sheep, pig. Bird bones would be a
>plus (assorted pigeons, chicken, duck, etc). Even a good veterinary
>science/anatomy book with a clear skeletal section would be helpful...
