Peter Dorni was a French pipemaker in the mid-nineteenth century (ca.
1850-1880) whose products were widely exported and also widely plagiarized. A
couple of references (both of which should be available through interlibrary
loan) are:

Walker, Ian 1977 Clay Tobacco-Pipes, with Particular Reference to the Bristol
Industry. History and Archaeology 11D. Parks Canada.

Omwake, H. Geiger 1961 Peter Dorni White Kaoline Pipes. Bulletin of the
Archaeological Society of New Jersey 18-19:12-15.

Hope this is of help.

Best,

Michael Trinkley, Ph.D.
