Dear Folks,
Just to let you know that I've started a series on my web site on artefacts
I've uncovered on some of my sites that have applicability to other sites
of the same age in most English speaking areas around the world.
I've just finished a section on a site on Norfolk Island dating between
1790 and about 1807 (bulk of the material 1790s) - fragments - English
ceramics, Chinese Export Porcelain, glass and so on.
I am now working on ceramics (British transfer printed) from a Norfolk
Island privy pit with contents from the 1840s to 1880s with two distinct
occupations (1) British civil officer 1845-1855 and two of the Bounty
Mutineer families (Christian and McCoy) 1856-1880s... The surprising thing
was the amount and variety of English ceramics deposited during the Bounty
families' occupation. I'll let you know when this section is ready.
My site is:

Best Wishes,
Robert
