I just had a question that it seems likely our Eastern colleagues would
have more experience with than us Wide Open Spaces types:
What precautions are appropriate for excavations around a historic cemetery
where victims of epidemic diseases may be encountered? We are talking
Spanish Colonial, here, 200-300 years old. Also, does anyone have
experience with appropriate precautions when one encounters a mass
burial of domestic
animals, given the possibility of anthrax and other such charming microbes.
I don't know what those lads are digging, but it doesn't sound like they
are having fun. I promised I would put this question out on the net and
let them know what answers I get.
Any medical advice for a clearly nervous excavation crew?
