Howdy. I don't recognize the logo off the top of my head. There are a
series of pipe reference volumes out there, and it sounds like you've got a
pretty fair chance at matching a maker's mark/cartouche to known sources.
From what I recall of the nineteenth centuries sites in New Jersey that Iw
orked on, you could be dealing with any one of hundreds of pipe makers.
Even the Dutch started putting TD on their pipes because people liked it.
Sorry that I can't be more specific, but it has been a long time since I
looked at such pipes. If you get stonewalled, I might be able to put you
onto someone on the east coast who has the pipe references.
