Although many of us see higher levels of chalkbrood during cool, wet
periods,  Martha Gilliam has hives from which mummies can be taken during
the really hot, dry periods.
 
Our own experience indicates that weak hives are more susceptible.  Again,
I believe that stress is a factor, as is hygienic behavior, etc.
