Hi Betty!
Freezing keeps the yeast from multiplying and causing the honey to ferment
(We have kept high moisture honey for several years in our freezer without
trouble) but I don't think it actually kills them. If you put the frozen
honey in a warm place the yeast will come to life again. We keep
the yeast for our breadmaker in our freezer to preserve it and it still
works.
