Recently during a presentation at the women's health clinic the coalition
(making the presentation to the medical staff), was asked how long we
advocate breastfeeding. I replied, "For as long as the mother and baby want
to breastfeed." My fellow LC said, "For a year." I knew she felt this way,
as we had discussed it before. For my own information and/or for future
discussion, can anyone post, or E-Mail me privately, some important refs on
this subject? Nursing well past a year is one of my favorite subjects,
untimely weaning being my #1 Pet Peeve!
