Not just bovine protein allergy, but any/all food allergy. Reflux is a
symptom, not a diagnosis. And pyloric stenosis is acquired, not congenital,
and heavily associated with early ABM feeding in nurseries. In working with
allergic families I would say that reflux (diagnosed and undiagnosed) was
very very common and ended when the allergy was identified and remedied.
Ditto, in dealing with families whose baby is diagnosed as reflux, or
pyloric stenosis, or excessive posseting (British for spitting up) a good
allergy history and management almost always ends the symptom. Ditto for
pregnancy emesis in many many women. I do wish all LCs would look for
causes of symptoms, since many doctors rarely have time to look for causes
and the drugs they prescribe are often devastating. There are good
