SHA CONFERENCE ACCOMMODATIONS

Due to an exceptionally high registration (the largest SHA
conference ever held), the J.W. Marriott and Metro Center Marriott
have both been filled for the 4-8 January period. We have
negotiated with other hotels in the area and offer several options.

HOTEL WASHINGTON
This is an historic hotel, established in 1918, which overlooks the White
House. It is located one block from the Marriott at 15th Street
and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. They have offered a rate to SHA
participants of $105 single and $125 double. To register, call
202-638-5900 and say you are with the conference.

RADISSON BARCELO HOTEL
Located two blocks from Dupont Circle on Embassy Row, this
excellent hotel is directly accessible to the subway system and in
a safe part of Washington. They are willing to give single or
double rooms at the rate of $79 per night. A third person will
involve an extra $20 charge. Children 17 and under are free.

To get to the conference, take Dupont Circle Metro to the Metro
Center and walk three blocks west to the Marriott. It is a short
ride.

To reserve rooms, call 202-293-3100 or 1-800-333-3333. Say you are
with the SHA. The address of the Radisson is 2121 P Street NW.
They will hold these rates until 23 December 1994.

HOTEL ANTHONY
An even lower rate can be found at this establishment. It is a
clean, basic hotel in a relatively safe area of town. Its address
is 1823 L Street, NW. Phone is 202-223-4320. They are offering a
rate of $69 per night. The Anthony is one block from the Farragut
North Metro Stop. To reach the Marriott, take the subway to Metro
Center and walk three blocks west.
