Sorry I haven't been able to reply, I have been having connection problems
for the last week. Life off the net was surprisingly peacful, Its kind of
been like a virtual walden...

graphics monitors... I use a Sony multisync 21". Powered by ATI all in
wonder 8 mbVRAM video capture board, I run a 1600 res virtual desktop which
drives people crazy. The two are an awesome combination. The all in wonder
card is a bargain at $350 and change, able to capture full motion video and
bring cable straight into your computer for the same price as most simple
graphics drivers. The top end on the Sony monitors run at an astronomical
$1700, still way cheaper than what you would pay for a GoldStar.

I have a lighter set up on my personal machine, a gateway, it runs with a
17" crystal scan, which always impresses me at how good it really is. It
runs on a 4 mb STB virge accelerator. Its ok.

When you are looking at visuals, you can't sell yourself short on your vid
card. I have a thing against the matrox cards. I used to really like them,
but i don't think they are competitive any more.

ok, I am going to polish my pocket protector.
