POSITION OPEN
ARCHAEOLOGIST
The Cultural Resource Group, Louis Berger & Associates, Inc., (LBA),
solicits applications
from archaeologists to fill a position as Principal Investigator in our
Washington, D.C. branch
office. For this position, we seek a highly motivated individual to pursue
quality archaeological
research in a Cultural Resource Management context. Responsibilities
include: design
and implementation of Phase I, II, and III field research, coordination of
laboratory analysis,
and report/proposal preparation.
Ph.D. or M.A. in Anthropology/Archaeology is required; relevant regional
(i.e., Eastern North
America) experience is preferred. Prehistoric or historic archaeologist
considered. At least
two years of supervisory experience in the context of Section 106
compliance is required.
Strong research, writing, critical/creative thinking and communication
skills required.
Experience in preparation of CRM investigation reports and/or publication
highly desirable.
The successful applicant should have ability to (a) introduce creative
solutions and
innovative ideas to "routine" Section 106 investigations, (b) follow
guidance from clients
and regulatory agencies, (c) function as part of a team, and (d) succeed in
the context of
budgets and deadlines.
Competitive salary negotiable based on experience. Full benefits package

willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. office and will be expected to
travel for project
