Don't you mean phosphours instead of Potassium?
 
Two additional areas for background review are the recent monograph, Pedologic
al Perspectives in Archaeological Research, Soil Science Society of America,
Special Publication Number 44, and the Proceedings of the International
Pedo-Archaeology Conference - first procedings is out, and the second is due
anytime last year (maybe).
